November Archives!
What happened in November?
Carmen is just blooming. I don't know if it is school or just her growing up. School is going great for her. Except she always wants to wear tennis shoes to school so that she can out run the boys at recess! She hasn't caught on that you WANT them to catch you!
They had a Halloween party that I helped with. Carmen dressed up as Big Bird. She enjoyed herself but I was upset as Ryan wasn't there so I didn't get to see how "cute" he is!
Every weekend "curious" Geroge (beanie-like monkey) gets to go home with one of the kids. Well a few weekends ago it was Carmen's turn! She was excited that he got to come home with her. We had to write in a notebook about his adventures. And believe me, he had some adventures! Let's see..... there was the hiding in the kid's microwave, Allie pulling him in the tub and sitting on Ouma's lap at a recital! When the teacher read it to the class the next time they had school, she said "did this really happen?"
The girls didn't really go trick or treating, our church had a bonfire instead. Carmen went as a cowgirl minus the horse!
One Sunday I fixed her hair up in a French Twist with curls around her head. She looked so grown up!
Well that has caught us up to this week: Sunday, she woke up and decided she didn't want to go to church as she ended up throwing up! ugghhh Then had a fever on top of it. Luckly it only lasted for that day. She ended up at a friend's house Monday and spending the night which was find as she didn't have school because of conferences.
We had parent/teacher conference today. Ger went with me. Mrs. Maruice just had praise, praise, praise for us! She is doing really well and has no problems with anything given to her. I was so proud, I almost broke down in tears!
Well Carmen is home now and she has a cold! It's not bad but is driving me nuts as she is constantly sniffing! I sure hope she is better in the morning to go to school for the teacher to listen to her instead of me! lol
Take care,
Amber & Carmen
Almost forgot! Last month Carmen's Ouma had 5 baby llamas born! Last week one of them died. Carmen was broken hearted. She automaticly drew a picture of "Lucky Star" and of someone crying. Then today while at her friend's house, she made a memorial for him. It was a piece of green styrofoam with plastic flowers, grapes, an apple sticking out of it. She gave it to her Ouma and told her it could go on his grave and that the picture she painted for him could be nailed to the tree! Too sweet. The memorial will go in the barn for now as the Llamas would eat it. I have included the llama website for any that are interested in seeing the babies. There is still one picture of Lucky Star on there. And Carmen is on the cover of the website!
